‘What is, can still be different’ wrote Caroline Pauwels, author and former rector of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, in her beautiful ‘ode to wonder’. A heartfelt celebration of curiosity and a call to embrace wonder as a way to reimagine the world, encouraging us to open our senses and let our thinking evolve along with it. “Wonder colours life and encourages us to question false certainties. Somewhere along the way, most of us have lost that open-mindedness, that childlike wonder. But we can teach ourselves to be amazed again!”
In 'Ode aan de Verwondering', An Miller takes on the spirit of Caroline Pauwels, joined by the visionary imagery of Koen Vanmechelen. Together, they present a compelling invitation to see the world anew—through the lens of curiosity and openness. This tribute celebrates the transformative power of wonder, not only in art and science but in the everyday moments that shape our lives.
